Greetings! A few weeks ago I had the great opportunity of announcing our classroom's amazing gift of iPads and iPod touches. As a class we have been learning how to use these awesome tools to their greatest potential. The students have used them to study their sight words, and read stories that have been downloaded. A wonderful thing about these downloaded books is that they can help the students when they are stuck on a certain word, or read a page that they are having trouble with. This helps me out immensely as you can imagine! It also ensures that they have immediate correction, which will help them learn even quicker. It is also possible to have the app read with the students in order to help with the students fluency. The students are also learning a large amount about how to use technology, which is a huge advantage in this day in age. They will be one step ahead, while learning how to problem solve when they may not work correctly. They may even be able to teach you a few tricks on your ipad at home!

The class has become so excited about learning with this new addition to our classroom that they just had to share it with someone! So, we made a video to share with all of you! Enjoy, and be amazed at how much these iPads have opened up opportunities for your son or daughters learning!

Exciting, isn't it? So many fun ways to learn these days!
